An emotional and beautifully touching video of Simon Jordan's cortege as it makes its way around West Bay has been shared.

Simon, who inspired others to keep our environment litter free through his 5ThingsClear movement, which encouraged people to pick up five items of rubbish at a time, and who regularly held beach cleans at West Bay, died last month, aged 52.

He was a large part of the community and ahead of a service of remembrance in West Bay's St Johns yesterday (Thursday) - led by the Rev Philip Ringer - his cortege did a route around the bay, which was sympathetically filmed by local photographer Neil Barnes.

Neil Barnes said: "I was honoured to be asked by Philip Ringer to cover it. Using a drone to film the route was ideal as I was able to follow the procession from a central point by the Harbour Masters' office.

"I tried to keep a respectful distance but still record the cortege on its whole route also being mindful of the seagulls which sometimes take exception to the aircraft. This time however, they too kept their distance.

"I quickly edited the footage and added some suitable music and made it available online by mid-afternoon for those who were there and for those who weren't.

"It was, as you can see from the video, a very respectful tour of West Bay and I hope I gave him the respect and justice he deserved with my short film."
