Natural Skincare Solutions has become the latest Bridport business to go 'plastic free'.

Plastic Free Bridport has welcomed Natural Skincare Solutions – based at Pineapple Business Park in Salwayash – to its growing list of plastic free businesses after the firm made moves to significant cut down on single-use plastic waste.

Natural Skincare Solutions moved from London 14 years ago, making beauty skincare products primarily for other companies in the industry.

As well as going through the usual steps required to attain plastic free status, the company has also used recycling packaging where appropriate and has created new products via up-cycling, for instance using coffee residue in skin products.

They had previously used bubble wrap but have moved to biodegradable, corn-based foam chips; they switched to paper wrap for small packaging; are using paper tape on their boxing; and now use non-plastic tea bags.

They also work with customers who often send their own containers to be filled by Natural Skincare Solutions.

One of their biggest clients gets customers to send their used packs back in the same box for refills, with no recycling involved.
