Housebuilder Baker Estates has teamed up with Magna Housing to provide 11 affordable new homes in Bridport over the next two years.

The homes will be part of Baker Estates' new Palmers Meadow development in Watton Park.

Graham Hutton, development director at Baker Estates, said: "Not only are we providing much needed affordable homes at Palmers Meadow in Bridport, but the overall construction project will also generate inward investment, including new jobs for local people.

"We are delighted to have started an exciting new partnership with Magna Housing and look forward to working with the organisation over the coming years as the new homes are built for young people and families to enjoy for years to come."

Paul Land, interim head of development and sales at Magna Housing, said: "We are pleased to be working with Baker Estates to provide new housing opportunities for local people who are struggling to either buy a home or rent privately.

"At Magna, our vision is to create great homes together and we want to make communities where people want to live. This development at Palmers Meadow will allow people to remain in Bridport and help them to have safe and secure homes."
