Workers in Bridport will be able to get lateral flow tests from Bridport Leisure Centre.

The centre has teamed up with Event Security Southern Ltd to deliver lateral flow testing to workers within Bridport and the surrounding areas to help control the spread of Covid-19.

William Thrower, centre manager, said: "This is a great example of businesses working together during these extraordinary times and allowing businesses to continue to operate safely."

As a central hub in the Bridport community, testing will be available at the leisure centre seven days a week between 7am and 7pm.

Testing will be conducted in the adjacent rugby pavilion and all safety protocols are in place and managed by Event Security Southern Ltd.

All testing appointments must be pre-booked. For more information on eligibility or to register interest in signing yourself or your business up to the programme, visit publichealthdorset.org.

Following the Government's latest plans detailing the road map out of lockdown, Bridport Leisure Centre will be updating its members of its reopening plans in the coming weeks.
