The road works and closures across Bridport this week

Here are the road closures and works affecting Bridport and the surrounding areas this week, which may cause delays to drivers.

Wessex Water will be carrying out works on St Andrews Road from October 21 to 22 and there will be traffic controls will be in place.

Village Road in Bradpole will be closed from October 23 to November 3 while Western Power Distribution to complete a substation change which was stopped due to Covid-19. The alternative route, which will be signposted, will be A3066, Townsend Way, Mangerton Lane and Village Road. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

The 30mph speed limit on the A3066 Beaminster Road from Bridport towards Melplash has been extended temporarily for approximately 2,430metres until October 20 while BT rebuild carriageway boxes.

There will be traffic controls in Main Street in Loders from October 21 to 26 while Western Power Distribution carry out works.

There will be some carriageway incursion on West Road from October 22 to 29 for SGN to continue gas works delayed by the coronavirus.
