Bridport Hat Festival's Garden Party coming to town this weekend

The Bridport Hat Festival Garden Party will delight fans of the town's annual celebration of headwear when it takes place this week.
A 'mini hat festival' will be held at Millennium Green on Saturday (September 4) from 10am to 4pm with a full programme of activities throughout the day, refreshments and music.
There will be the hat hurling and the mass-hatted photo is hoped to be taken from Mountfield.
There will be live music, a bar, Brit Valley Rotary Club will be serving teas, cakes and cream teas and there will also be pulled-pork rolls from Bigger Bites.
Lyme Morris will be entertaining with some dancing in the afternoon.
There will be no road closure of South Street and everything will be happening in Millennium Green.
Brian Atkinson, of Bridport Hat Festival, said: "All in all, it's a relaxing garden party. Come along and listen to a bit of music, maybe have a drink from the bar or a cup of tea.
"It's out in the open and it will be a lovely day."
